Cells From Mouth May Cure Blindness

Science Daily (9/3) reports that researchers at the University of Oslo have found “a number of illnesses causing blindness can be cured from transplanting cells from the oral cavity.” The researchers’ discoveries may have “great consequences for the treatment of blindness caused by so-called limbal stem cell deficiency,” which strikes developing countries the most often, the article reports.
